EYE Opticians is an independent, family-run opticians, and this year we are 40. Our Birmingham practice is on Islington Row at Five Ways, on the edge of the city centre.
We take the time to talk to you, so the eye care and eyewear we recommend are matched to how you live and work. Our optometrists use advanced diagnostic equipment, and our founder, dispensing optician Shafik Haji, has curated a collection of designer eyewear that is renowned in Birmingham.

Dry eye clinic
OptiLight IPL Dry Eye Treatment
We were the first opticians in the West Midlands to introduce OptiLight by Lumenis, a safe, non-invasive intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment for dry eye. A course of four sessions, two weeks apart, calms inflammation and restores the meibomian glands.
Our dry eye clinic also offers full dry eye assessments with meibography, ZEST and BlephEx lid treatments, and heated eye masks and preservative-free drops.

Visual stress clinic
Visual Stress Assessments
Visual stress can make print appear to move or blur, cause headaches and eyestrain, and make reading tiring. An assessment includes an eye examination, refraction, colorimetry with the Intuitive Colourimeter and a written report.
Our founder, Shafik Haji, is a dispensing optician who specialises in visual stress.
