Made by Opticians, for Faces

Cutler and Gross began in 1969, when two opticians, Graham Cutler and Tony Gross, set out to make frames with the fit of a prescription and the attitude of fashion. Two years later they opened a shop at 16 Knightsbridge Green, where each pair was made by hand in the workshop upstairs.

More than fifty years on, the frames are still made the slow way: thick, richly coloured acetates cut and polished in the brand’s own factory in the Italian Dolomites, and featherweight titanium crafted in Japan. The shapes are bold, the bevels deep, and every pair carries the quiet confidence of a London original.

Available exclusively in Birmingham at EYE Opticians. Come in to try the collection, and we will fit your frames with lenses made for your prescription.
