Truly His Own

The Private Collection was introduced in 2016 to mark Tom Ford’s first eleven years of eyewear: his favourite frames, remade in materials that are rarely used in commercially produced eyewear.

We first introduced the Private Collection at EYE Opticians when it launched in 2016. Ask us to see the current styles at Edgbaston or Barnt Green.

The materials

Horn, Titanium, Nothing Else

Buffalo hornGenuine horn, chosen for its warm finish. Its natural pattern means no two frames are quite alike.
TitaniumLight and structurally precise, used for bridges and frames such as the double-bridge navigator.
Acetate, sparinglyUsed only on the temple tips, for comfort and fit.
ZEISS lensesThe sunglasses are fitted with ZEISS sun lenses.
